Energieneutrale Einführung der Mikroschadstoffelimination durch Abwassersystembewirtschaftung

Micro pollutants and pollution from micro plastics are shifting increasingly into the focus of European water pollution control. Extensive studies have already been carried out concerning the avoidance of these substances as well as their elimination in wastewater treatment plants. However, a not inconsiderable portion of micro pollutants and micro plastics is already sloughed off within the sewer system into open waters, before they can be processed by wastewater treatment plants.
Now, as part of the project „Energy-neutral micro-pollutant elimination“, an intelligent wastewater control system is to be implemented, both in order to reduce the emissions from micro pollutants and micro plastics in waters, as well as to compensate by means of energy-efficiency measures for higher energy requirements stemming from the elimination of micro pollutants. To this end, in addition to a system for monitoring micro pollutants and micro plastics based on the examples of the wastewater networks in Emmen and Rheine, a corresponding control system will be developed and implemented respectively on an industrial scale by SMEs.

One result of the examinations is, that in the wastewater of the Hospital are higher concentrations of micro pollutants. The aim of the developped Controlling-System is the retension of the wastewaterstreams with low concentration, that the high concentrated streams can be pumped directly to the Wastewater- Treatment-Plant.

The know-how gained by the Dutch and German companies forms the basis of a companies-network to be established within the framework of the project. By means of the platform-based Network (LinkedIn) , the know-how edge generated will be exploited as the central location factor and serves as disseminator and multiplier of knowledge and information in the region. Complex tasks, such as the programming of intelligent regulation and control systems in conjunction with engineering expertise and the requirements of commercial project-management, can in this way also effectively be solved “jointly” by small and middle-sized enterprises.
